Backyard Camping

Have you wanted to do something with the kids but are either lacking the funds to do something interesting or you just are unable to get the time off work. Try backyard camping with the kids. Hopefully you have the room in the yard to toss up the tent, pack a picnic basket and restrict all activity to the house to just bathroom breaks and showers and you can experience a fun and interesting time in your backyard alone.
Make sure you prepare for this “camping trip” as you would any other camping trip and get the kids geared up for your camping vacation. While this may not be a fun activity for the older kids with their parents it’s a fun vacation to do smaller children. The younger kids will enjoy sleeping outside of the house and it will give them the experience of taking a mini vacation without the cost of a full camping vacation or the time restraints of a busy working parent’s job.
If you are unable to make a fire in your backyard you can always convert a backyard charcoal grill into a small fire pit that even your neighbors won’t mind. You will be able to cook hotdogs and make smore’s over your name shift fire pit.
